So I’ve got the black/gray checkered pants, do they work with the black jacket also shown in the picture? I’ve only got two jackets and I’m trying to match up my options.

Caveat: in this light, in that photo: yes it works. But wear a colored shirt, or it’ll be bland.

I'm thinking yes but you'll need some color so you don't blend in like a beige Camry in traffic.

I hear ya. I visited the east coast recently and realized I have it good. I can go to work with jeans and anything with a collar, and a beard, or long hair, or whatever.
